Stone Phillips is an American journalist. He is the co-host of the award-winning newsmagazine Dateline NBC. He has reported about varieties of topics and hosted many groundbreaking interviews that have created a more significant impact on the society.
Stone Phillips reported the most extensive shooting in the history of Virginia; the massacre of Virginia Tech. He also reported the biggest hurricane in U.S. history known as Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The hour-long analysis of how and why government prevented and recovery efforts failed surpassed ten days of thorough coverage won Dateline and NBC Nightly News an Alfred I. DuPont Award.
There are long and impressive lists of interviews that Stone conducted. Stone Phillips married Debra Del Toro in 1985. They had a very memorable wedding ceremony. Debra even was very much emotional on the day as it finally happened. There are rumors that they have dated for several years before getting married. Debra Del Toro is a talented exhibiting artist and a photographer. She also works for sculpture and moving images. She has won many awards for her incredible work.
Debra gave birth to a baby boy in 1988 whose current age is 30. The couple named him Streeter Phillips. Debra also gave birth to a baby girl in 1995. But, unfortunately, the child died on the same day as she was born 13 days earlier. This incident was very heartbreaking for both Stone and Debra. They tried their best to have another child even after that loss but Debra was not conceiving.
