Russ Mitchell is an American journalist. He is famous for his career in CBS where used to host “The Early Show” on Saturday. Moreover, he was also an anchor of the show during the week and also was a weekend anchor of the CBS Evening News.

He was doing a position of a part-time switchboard operator at KTV in his hometown St. Louis. Russ joined Kansas City Television KMBC as a reporter. Later, Russ was an anchor for WFAA Dallas in between 1983 and 1985. Then he reported at KTVI St. Louis in between 1985 and 1987.
